Life in Instagrams:

First and foremost, I am on freaking vacation from work for 9 days. I don't know what to do with myself! Vacations are the best.

To help pass the time, my dear friend Jem and her truly outrageous group of girlfriends, otherwise known as The Holograms, are keeping me company. Jem on Netflix = The Shit.

When I'm not wasting away on the couch watching Jem rock out with her holographic uhm... something out, I'm attempting to "work on my fitness" as Fergie so eloquently put it.

M and I started the C25K program. This is me on Week 2, Day 1. It was pouring rain outside but we went for it anyway. I forgot I had makeup on, so my face is covered in mascara.

Speaking of fitness (or lack there of), I present to you the BD household movie night snacks of choice. It doesn't get much better (or more horrible for you) than corndogs and frosted animal crackers. I feel like a real American now.

I've also been having a little DIY extravaganza around here. The first photo is a white picture frame that I painted a really pale pink with gold accents, the second is a little diorama in which I used the polymer clay figurines I made for our wedding. Fun fact: I had to remake Spade (far right) because the dogs ate him. Irony. The third photo is a little silhouette of our dogs that I painted. Notice Sophie's tongue (far right) sticking out. It's kind of her trademark. I'm totally a crazy dog lady, aren't I?

We got a bench for the balcony! YAY! Now if only I could find a proper cushion so we could actually utilize it. Coming along nicely, though, if I do say so myself.

Lastly, M and I got invited to an event at an underground 1920s style speakeasy (it's in the basement of a condo!) - you have to give a password at the door & everything. A little ridiculous, a lot of fun. Dressing the part was incouraged, so I, of course, went for it.
