I really need to stop buying things from Craigslist. I can't have a Craigslist furnished home. A piece here and there, okay, cool. But this needs to stop.
Craigslist in the sitting room:
$100. Still need to paint that trim white. I've decided on white. I'm just so scared to ruin it.
Craigslist above the fireplace:
$55. Thought about painting this white, too, but I love the patinaed gold.
And our newest piece, a Craigslist TV stand:
$90. Love the shape, but it desperately needs to be painted. That butter yellow color is so shitty. Which brings us to my color quandry.
Everything in that room is dark- a huge black-brown leather sectional, a black coffee table with mirrored trim, the gold mirror (above) is going above the fireplace in that room, and I'm in the process of painting a wooden table gold around the edges and possibly staining the top a dark walnut. So what the hell color do I paint this?
Ideas so far:

What would you even call this color? Jade? I don''t know, but I really like love it.

And then there's this, similar to the above, but brighter and a bit more emerald.

Or we could go with the color that we painted our dining room, Martha Stewart's Plumage- a deep, almost navy, teal.

And what about powder blue?
Or I could just be a punk and go with white, but I'd really, really, like to go with a bolder color since there is literally no color in the living room as of now. What say you, dear readers?

I LOVE that darker blue-green one. It would look so good in there!
i say go for the emerald green one! this of course will help you establish your accent color for the room. And it will complement nicely with your dining room wall color!
Tell us more! Where've you gone! :-)
More foxy Friday please!
